It was my 1st Birthday on Saturday and my human arranged a pawty for me.
She baked a doggy cake the night before, with lamb and cottage cheese, parsley and more cheese, it smelt pawsome and I had to keep checking on it all night. I knew it was for me, I could just tell.
In the morning, we jumped in the car and went and got my big brother Alfie and headed to the park. When I got there, I couldn’t believe my ears. I could hear some Entlebucher roo’s and there are NEVER Entlebucher roo’s in my park, unless it’s me roo’ing.
And then I sniffed the air and knew who it was. My Brother and Sister, Eiger & Bonnie and my lil cous, Basil. He’s still a little pup and very cute It was pawsome to see them. I said a big Happy Birthday to my brother and sister. We’d all sniffed this park before except Basil, so the older one’s headed off to show Basil all the fun and talk about our humans.
First thing’s first was a bit of mischief.
Eiger and I decided to start ’round 5′ of our wrestling game, covering ourselves in mud and slobber and bashing into a few of the humans at full speed.
Of course, I had to steal Eiger’s favourite toy.
You’re not a toy stealer unless you actually steal a toy at EVERY given opportunity. It was a pawsome ball on a string. I was SUPER fast, grabbed the ball and waved it around, bashing it against me. Alfie saw EXACTLY what I’d done and I saw him coming to Eiger’s rescue, with ”that” look on his face.
Basil found a PAWSOME stick, he was running around like a little puppy and REALLY wanted someone to chase him.
I was going to steal that too, but Bonnie started the chase. Bonnie’s really fast and I was impressed that Basil had some Entlebucher moves already. I really wanted to gang up with Bonnie and take that stick but Bonnie reminded me that he’s only a little puppy and I should mind my manners.
I didn’t mind too much because I’d smelt the cake and KNEW it was going to be pawsome, so I’d do a few silly things first.
The cake smelt SO pawsome and everyone couldnt wait to have some, some of us were even drooling.
It was SO good. ALL of us doggies wanted more. My human was not paying attention to the cake. While we were eating, I saw Bonnie whispering to Eiger to go and see if he could get it. Eiger was running around and around, pretending to herd all the humans but I know he was after the cake really.
Now I’ve had a birthday pawty, I can honestly say they’re the BEST EVER. I can’t wait to have another one!
