It’s been quite a while since my last post.
It’s not because I’ve been naughty and on a computer ban. No No No.
It’s because my human has had a lot of things to sort out. She may be busy, but she still remembers that I need to have fun too. She’s good like that. SO many things have been happening and there are SO many things to tell you. It’s all really exciting for a puppy and I don’t know where to start!!
Eiger
I met my brother Eiger for a play the other week. It was only the third time that I’ve seen him since we left the litter and it was totally pawsome! He’s growing up really well and listening to his humans to … I try to listen, but there’s so much happening that I find it hard sometimes.
Eiger’s very handsome, of course!
We were very good on our day out. We played, drank in the river and covered ourselves in mud and stink. It was great fun.
My human says that she has a bet with another Entlebucher owner, Alfie’s human’s. The bet is this … there is NO WAY that at 2 years old, I will sleep in a pub while we’re all having a meal.
My human thinks it’s ‘possible’ … and she’s very stubborn, so she’s on a mission to prove that I will, which means she goes to the pub a lot as a ‘training session’ for me. I told Eiger all about it and he agreed. He said he thinks it’s important that we learn to behave ourselves in the pub and act like the English do, so we had a practise together.
Something tells me, I’m going to do just fine and win this bet!!! *wag wag wag*
Fizz
I met a friend through blogging. She’s called Fizz and is a Bernese Mountain Dog, which technically makes us cousins. Her human recognised my park on my blog and the humans arranged for us to have a play together. THAT was Pawsome too. Most of my friends are boys, so it was really nice to meet a girl for once. My human says that it’s good to have girlfriends because there will be some time soon that I won’t be allowed to play with the boys. I don’t know why.
Fizz was very funny. She told me that she liked the water too. This is the difference between boys and girls. My big brother Alfie tries to push me in, so does my brother Bertie. They both say I’m a silly girl. Marvel races and races around in the water to try and show me how fun it is. But Fizz, Fizz plods into the water and asks if I’m coming … when I said no, she said it’s ok, I’m only a baby and soon it will seem fun and not scary … but she had to go, because she had some ducks to catch.
She took a last look at the grass and walked into the water. She didn’t catch a duck … and then she realised something quite important … When you’re a big Bernese Mountain Dog, you should always check BEFORE you get in the water that there is somewhere to get out.
All in all, it was a PAWSOME day and I can’t wait to meet up with Fizz again.
PAWSOME
Talking of Pawsome … there is something AMAZINGLY PAWSOME happening in the Entlebucher world in the UK. My friend Shadow had a romantic weekend away in Switzerland just before our Fun Day.
Guess what ?
THERE ARE 5 MORE B PUPPIES!!!
Told you it was Pawsome!!
Britannia, the first born ‘B’ girl (just like me) was born at 7:30am on Monday morning last week. Followed by her brother Beethoven, then another sister Bodicea, then two more boys Bossonova and Bumble, who popped out after 5pm that day. It was a long day for Shadow.
They’re totally PAWSOME. Shadow is a very good mum and I’m watching her all the time and the puppies. I think I love them a little bit. If you want to love them a little bit too, you can see them here
PUPPY CAM !!! - just follow the link to the PuppyCam Live.
There is a puppy-cam on their box 24/7 and it’s LIVE. You can see them all wriggling about and feeding. Soon they’ll open their eyes and that’s when the fun will REALLY start. I can’t wait. *wag wag wag*
You can check out what they’re all up to and follow the story of their birth on my friend Alfie’s blog. He’s the puppies Uncle and lives in their house with 3 other grown up Entlebuchers. It really is very special. I can’t wait until they’re all grown up and we can make friends.
Salvador & The Girls With No Name
There’s been a bit of a change in our house. If you read my last blog post, you’ll have seen that unfortunately, we lost ‘Dinner’ the other week because of the fireworks. Her ticker stopped tocking and we had to say goodbye. Her real name was Belle, but my big brother Alfie and I used to joke and call them both Breakfast & Dinner.
Alfie was really upset when I told him Dinner was dead.
That just left Breakfast. His real name is Salvador.
He’s got a whole rabbit palace to himself and unfortunately, in the week that his wife died, he just got more and more sad.
First he was just sad. Then he went crazy because whenever I went into the garden he ran out to say hello to me! Then after that, he just sat there. Staring at the fence, not moving, his head hanging to the floor. Even I felt bad.
My human is a real softie. She gets very upset if an animal looks sad or hurt. Even insects. That’s why I love her. I can get what I want if I just look a bit sad. *wag wag wag*
She said that she had better find Salvador a new wife. He’s VERY handsome and thinks he’s the Rabbit King. Lots of ladies would fall for him. She said that it was important that he had a friend and wasn’t sad any more. So she started calling around the rescues.
She visited a few to see if she could find a suitable girlfriend for him. No joy. Everyone was already paired up. She was worried that she was going to have to get a baby and bring it up to be a nice animal. Then last Saturday, she got a phone call. The rescue had something that they wanted her to come and see.
And BOY OH BOY, is Salvador a lucky, lucky rabbit.
TOLD you she was a big softie.
So now we have Breakfast, Lunch AND Dinner … I CAN’T WAIT to show my big brother Alfie, he’s going to go all silly and waggy!!
My human is now socialising them together. She needs to make sure that they don’t fight. And of course, she needs some names. She says that Lunch and Dinner aren’t proper names for rabbits. I think they really look like a Lunch and Dinner.
What do you think?

Hi Bella, I had a great time meeting you. We will definately have to do it again soon. Sorry about your mummy’s bunny, glad you now have 2 more friends to play with. And puppies, I will defo look them up. Have a great week playing.
Hi Fizz. It was totally Pawsome to meet up, it IS nice to know a girl *wag wag wag*
For me Dinner&Lunch are the perfect names for rabbits – but I’m a dog ;o) You are such a smart doggie – to look sad if you want something is brilliant!… and it works always ;o)
I agree totally … I think Lunch & Dinner are PAWFECT for them *wag wag wag*
BOL ditto Easy! We too try the sad look but it never works. Have a terrific Thursday Bella.
Best wishes Molly
I have pawsome puppy dog eyes. She falls for it EVERY time *Wag wag wag*
You have been up to a lot! It looks like you had a great time when you met up with your doggy pals. A ‘training session’ is the best excuse I’ve heard for going to the pub!
Well, it IS a training session. *wag wag wag* I’m staying more awake though … and all of a sudden, the pub has a tree inside with balls on. How can a puppy sleep with a big chew toy like that? *wag wag wag*
Wow you sure did have a lot going on! We’re so sorry to hear about “Dinner” (we missed that post), but she’ll always live in your memories. But we send a big puppy “welcome” to the new girls, they’re adorable!! And how wonderful about the new puppies and your handsome new friends. What an exciting time you’re having!
I know … it’s never nice when your dinner dissapears!
It’s so cool that you got to see your brother again. Those are two cute bunnies too. I bet your Mom scooped them up right away. Hopefully “Dinner” is not so sad now
It is cool that I got to see him again, it’s nice to hang out with your family *wag wag wag*
Rooo Bella – When can you introduce me to Lunch and the new Dinner? *waggy tail*
Come over and sniff them out any time Alfie. Even I’m not allowed in there at the moment, but she says I can meet them soon
*licks chops*
Oh Bella,
SO much going on with you buddy – I’m exhausted just reading it – you’re making me hungry with all the talk of breakfast, lunch and dinner – Tee Hee
Beautiful rabbits by the way
Have lots of fun with your new family members
Your pal Snoopy
It makes me hungry when I look at them too *wag wag wag*
Hey Bella, Jet here.
Wowee wow wow, did you have a lot to catch up on. So exciting about Alfie’s nieces and nephews and that you get to see them, too. Puppy cams are pawesome.
Loved your playdates… yes, JJ enjoys her playdates with Dixie and Neve, too. I rarely get a playdate with another manly man.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner made me laugh… yeah, Mom would make us pick better names, too. Sorry for your loss, it’s so hard to lose a fur family member. We lost Puffy this week.
Hey Jet,
I know too many manly mans. I’m glad we’ve got Lunch and Dinner in the house now, it makes for more girls in the house *wag wag wag*
We the same as Easy..BOL, how cool meeting a buddie from the blog
Sorry we haven’t been over for a while, like your Mommy ours has been busy and now we are playing catch up
xx00xx
Mollie and Alfie
That’s what I said … she won’t have it!! All the dogs think I’m right! *wag wag wag*
I know you’ve been busy, I’ve been seeing your bandana’s popping up all over the world! You’re famous! *wag wag wag*
I saw your playdate on Fizz’s blog – that is sooo cool! Sure looks like you had lots of fun together.
Hope you think of some cool names for the bunnies, maybe after herbs like parsley and sage? Although then you would start thinking about dinner BOL
Hi! I came here through 2browndawgs and I must say your blog is quite entertaining. My humans love Bernese mountain dogs because they are like HUGE pillows and so cozy looking especially in the winter months. We had two of them come to our park all the time but then they stopped because one day apparently one of them was attacked by another dog. I miss them very much. I will be adding you to my daily reads and I hope you’ll swing by my blog and say hi as well!
Licks and Drools,
Bunk the pug.
